WP 6.4 – Modelling and experimental technologies (including AI) for vulnerability assessment

Leader: Marco Savoia (UNIBO) – Giuseppe Quaranta (Uniroma1). Participants: POLITO, POLIMI, UNIBO, UNIROMA1, UNINA, UNIPD, UNIPA, AlmavivA, UNIKORE, ENG, UNIBO

WP 6.4 in a nutshell

WP 6.4 addresses advanced technologies to evaluate the vulnerability of existing infrastructures, at the component level. Transportation, hydraulic and energy/telecommunication infrastructures will be treated. In-situ diagnostics, unmanned surveys with AI recognition systems and deep learning algorithms, as well as remote sensing techniques (including Synthetic Aperture Radar – SAR– interferometry) will be used for monitoring of degradation phenomena. Advanced infrastructure modelling, also based on dynamic identification and model updating, will be used for vulnerability assessment at the component level and setting of alarm thresholds for early warning.
